DuraPorts®, Inc. is pleased to announce completion of its first ever "rooftop" project at Castleberry Point Lofts in downtown Atlanta, GA, the first, mixed-use condominium development in historic Castleberry Hill. The project presented several unique challenges since the Company's modular ParkPortTM parking structures had to be modified to enable installation on the sloping, upper level ramp of a multi-storey car park.
Special mounting plates and brackets had to be designed to attach the cantilevered ParkPortsTM to the pre-cast concrete walls and the parking deck to ensure the structures comply with local wind and snow load requirements. Owners and tenants on the upper deck now have beautiful, cool, fabric shelters for their automobiles, protected from the sun and inclement weather.
